Ruth Smyth (Managing Director), RGN, RM, BSc(Hons)
Ruth qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1981 and as a Registered Midwife in 1983. After working in NHS for several years, Ruth worked as a Nurse Practitioner in general practice. She graduated in 1998 with a BSc(Hons) in Advanced Nursing Practice. Ruth is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Kirkcaldy Raith and Ambassador for the Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB). She is past President of Fife Women in Business (FWB). Ruth is a finalist for ASB's Outstanding Contribution to Business Award 2011 and was a finalist for the Institute of Directors Regional Director Award 2010. Click here to contact Ruth

Matt Docherty (Operations Director)
Matthew is responsible for office administration and human resources. It is his remit to ensure that the business complies with all legislation relating to employment law and the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care. His years in the Army provided him with the ability to problem-solve, meet deadlines, and ensure that standards are met.

Kathy Taylor (Service Manager)
Kathy worked in an exporting business as Assistant Manager before coming to Paramount Care in 2006. Her responsibilities are to set up packages of care, allocate staff, and ensure that the day-to-day business of providing high quality care to our clients runs smoothly. Kathy won the ASB Employee of the Year Award 2010. Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and is a keen interior designer in her spare time.

Michaela Lumley (Admin Assistant)
Michaela was initially employed as Receptionist but when the business expanded her knowledge of business administration allowed her to move into an administrative role. She gives secretarial support to Ruth and Matt.

Ina MacNeil (Receptionist)
Ina works in the front office and is your first point of contact for the agency. She will ensure that any queries you may have are forwarded to the relevant member of staff to be dealt with. She is friendly, kind and organised - a great asset for the agency.

Elaine previously worked for a health care provider and was excited to be able to work in care again. She is responsible for allocating staff and dealing with client requests.
